Fitness Test (Day 1)/Goals

Hello everybody, here are the results from my pre-P90X Fitness Test.

Measurements
Weight-193 Pounds GOAL- 180

Body Fat %- Around 20% (estimated measurement from a free calculator online, I wouldn't trust it completely if you choose to go that route.)

Chest-40"

Waist-37"

Hips-37"

R Thigh-23.5"

L Thigh-23.5"

R Arm-14"

L Arm-14"

*I did all of these measurements myself with a tape measure, so I'm not 100 percent certain that all of my measurements are exactly perfect, as I may not have been pulling the tape tight enough, or was holding too loosely.

Athletic Testing
Resting Heart Rate- 56BPM

Pullups- 8 GOAL-25

Vertical- 27.5" GOAL-32

Pushups- 36 (without a bar)GOAL- 50 (without a bar)

Toe Touch- +5.75" GOAL-6.25"

Wall Squat- 1 minute 25 seconds GOAL-2 minutes

Bicep Curls (with 25 LB dumbbells)-16 GOAL- (with 35 LB dumbbells)-16

In and Outs-40 GOAL- 100

I'm not going to include my post-jumping jack heart rates because I think I terribly fudged up the numbers because I'm not all that adept at checking my heart rate

Advice
A few things of advice for you here...
1.) Buy a heart rate monitor. It will be very helpful not only for the fitness test, but also during the exercises so you can know if you are really pushing yourself enough.

2.) Don't fudge your numbers here. If you only did three pushups before you started cheating, then only write three. There is no shame at all in not being able to perform up to an extreme level. You are just starting a new, intense program and you will get the results in time. Also, if you cheat on your numbers at the beginning, it may cause you to cheat on some of your reps during the actual workouts so you meet your (incorrectly written) Fitness Test level. Honesty here will get you better results later on.

3.) Go absolutely all out the entire Fitness Test. The only person you are negatively affecting if you do not push yourself as hard as you can is YOU! Only doing 5 Pull-ups when you are capable of doing 9 will allow your mind to later on think that doing 6 or 7 is all you can do because that is still an improvement over your Fitness Test's numbers. Don't cheat yourself. Nothing good will come of that.

4.) As will be mentioned in every day's advice, you MUST maintain good hydration in the days leading up to, including, and after your P90X journey. You also need to be very well stretched before (and after!) every workout.
